Adding Games to the Schedule

Adding Games to the Schedule

The master schedule is the central hub for all games and events in your group. As an administrator, you can add games manually or they may be imported automatically from linked league crawlers.

Adding a Game Manually

  1. Go to AdministrationMaster Schedule
  2. Click the Add Game button
  3. Fill in the game details:
    • Date and Time - when the game is scheduled
    • Location - select a park/venue from your locations list
    • League - which league this game belongs to
    • Home Team and Away Team
    • Game Type - regular season, playoff, exhibition, etc.
    • Number of Officials Needed - how many positions to fill
  4. Click Save

The game will appear on your master schedule, ready for official assignments.

Game Details

Each game on the schedule includes:

  • Date & Time - when the game takes place
  • Location - where it's being played (linked to your parks/venues)
  • Teams - home and away
  • League - the league it belongs to
  • Status - draft, published, cancelled, etc.
  • Assigned Officials - who's working the game and in what role
  • Game Comments - any notes or special instructions

Editing a Game

To modify an existing game:

  1. Find the game on the Master Schedule
  2. Click on it to open the details
  3. Make your changes
  4. Save

Note: If officials have already been assigned and notified, changing the date, time, or location should trigger a notification to let them know (depending on your group's notification settings).

Importing Games

If your league has a website with a published schedule, ASM may be able to automatically import games via a schedule crawler. This is set up by ASM administrators and pulls game data directly from the league's website.

Imported games appear on your master schedule automatically and can be managed just like manually added games.

Tips

  • Make sure your locations are set up before adding games - it's faster to select from a list than type them in every time
  • Use game types consistently (regular, playoff, exhibition) - it helps with filtering and reporting
  • Use game comments for special instructions like "arrive 30 minutes early" or "alternate jerseys"
