Notification Settings & Additional Emails

ASM can notify you about game assignments, schedule changes, availability reminders, and more. You control what you receive and where it gets sent from your profile's Notifications tab.

Accessing Notification Settings

1. Click on your name or avatar in the top navigation
2. Select Profile
3. Go to the Notifications tab (under the General section)

On mobile, navigate to Profile → General → Notifications.

Email Notifications

The From Email section lets you toggle which email notifications you want to receive:

• Available Games — notifies you when new games are posted to the Available Positions page that you're eligible for
• Availability Reminders — reminds you when an availability period is open and needs your input
• Games Requiring Confirm — alerts you when you've been assigned to a game (or a game has changed) and needs your confirmation

Toggle each one on or off based on your preference.

Adding Additional Email Addresses

By default, notifications go to your primary email address (the one you use to log in). If you'd like notifications sent to additional email addresses as well - for example, a personal email alongside your work email - you can add them here.

1. Scroll to the Additional Emails section (below the email notification toggles)
2. Click Add Email
3. Enter the extra email address
4. Click Save at the top of the page

You can add as many additional emails as you need. Each one will receive the same notifications as your primary email.

To remove an additional email, click the red button next to it and save.

Note: Additional emails are only for receiving notifications. They cannot be used to log in to your account. Your login email is managed separately from the Profile tab under your personal information.

SMS Notifications

If you have a phone number linked to your profile, you can also opt in to SMS (text message) notifications:

• Game Reminders — a text reminder before an upcoming game you're assigned to
• Last Minute Changes — alerts for schedule changes that happen close to game time
• Availability Reminders — a text nudge when you need to fill in your availability

If no phone number is linked to your account, the SMS section will show a notice asking you to add one. You can add a phone number from your Profile → General tab under Personal Information.

Tips

• Use additional emails if you check different inboxes for different purposes - e.g., a personal email for off-hours and a work email during the day
• Enable SMS for Last Minute Changes if you want to catch late schedule updates that you might miss by email
• If you're getting too many emails, start by toggling off Available Games - it tends to be the most frequent notification
• Archiving inactive groups (from the Group Archiving tab) also stops notifications from those groups - useful if you're between seasons
